Honfleur, Sun 15 sept 2013

Every year on the second week end of september a 220 kms  ride called ” Levallois Honfleur” leads   around 3000 participants from Paris to Honfleur at the sea side in Normandy . Once away from Paris suburbs, riders follow mostly very small secondary roads across  the Ile de France and Normandy regions until they reach  in the afternoon  a the most beautiful little harbour of Honfleur.

This edition was doomed by a foul weather, meaning strong headwind, cold rain and sleet, and as a result many many flat tires. Never seen so many riders fixing their flats! The reward is to spend a good night in a cozy hotel, lollygag the next day along the quais of the fishing  harbour and admire the exquisite houses around, then put your bike in the train and get back to Paris.
